I've been weaving Nantucket style baskets since 2006. I am self taught and have completed over 180 baskets. I started wood working after I retired in 2016. I enjoy the variety of wood turning, wood working, and basket weaving.
You will learn the process of weaving a Nantucket basket on a mold. Basket will be between 4"-6" in diameter.

Getting started in woodturning? Woodturning is easy to learn and fun to do. You will learn the ABC of turning; Types of wood turning; Types of tools and which to use for what you are turning; Sharpening tools; and Woodturning safety. In this workshop, you will turn a spindle and small bowl using the proper tools and turning fundamentals.
Safety equipment needed: Face shield and a dust mask are required; no loose clothing

Beginner In this two-hour class, students will have the opportunity to learn the art of making pysanky – Ukrainian Easter eggs. Dyes, beeswax, and a stylus are used to decorate the eggs with traditional Ukrainian designs. All materials are included in the tuition.
